What is Beta Club?
SCMS 6th grade Beta Club is part of the National Junior Beta Club, which is a prestigious organization for students who demonstrate academic excellence, worthy character, and commendable attitude. Beta Club's Motto is - "Let us lead by serving others."  This explains the club's mission.  Members will participate in service projects that benefit the school, teachers, students, and the community. Members will also learn how to improve themselves through leadership training.
Who can join Beta Club?
6th grade students who have all As, Bs, and possibly a couple of Cs on their 1st semester grades, are invited to join. Applications will be available in January.
What do you have to do to stay in Beta Club?
Beta Club members are expected to maintain their grades.  A member may be removed from Beta Club if he/she is suspended from the bus OR school, referred to the office twice, or if the Principal and Beta Club Sponsors agree that a member’s actions have been severe enough to warrant such a decision.
